Things Think

Things think is an art piece displayed at the Henry Art Gallery as part of the MFA Thesis exibit for the School of Art at the University of Washington.

Thesis excerpt:

The mind was never contained in the head. We transfer our minds and part of ourself around us in inanimate forms. The objects that we make create idea spaces that think for us. Acknowledging the existence of entities outside of our egocentric point of view opens up a range of unimagined possibilities for designers. This study encourages designers to make the shift from thinking of man as being the measure of all things towards a network approach of thinking about objects and relationships.
